The data set that can use the mean or the median as a measure of center would be a set of numbers that is symmetric. This means there are about the same exact same distribution of numbers on either side of the middle number.
Ex: 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6
Mean: 28/7 = 4
Median: 4
