Glucose is a molecule that stores and provides energy for all of life's processes. The energy is stored in the two bonds found in glucose: carbon -carbon and carbon-hydrogen bond. To release the energy, these bonds are broken and formation of new bonds occur - carbon-oxygen and hydrogen-oxygen.
