The statue of liberty is 305 feet tall from the base to the torch. The statue itself is 111 feet tall. How many feet tall is the base?

base height + statue height = total height

Total height = 305
statue height = 111

base height + 111 = 305
Subtract both sides by 111
base height = 194

The height of the base is 194 feet.
