The value of f(-3) for the function f(a)  = -2a² - 5a + 4 is 1.

What are functions?

Function relates input and outputs. The outputs are called the ranges of dependent variables while the input are called domain or independent variables.

Therefore,

f(a)  = -2a² - 5a + 4

Hence,

f(-3) = -2(-3)² - 5(-3) + 4

Therefore,

f(-3) = -18 + 15 + 4

f(-3) = -3 + 4

f(-3) = 1
