SA=2pir^2+2hpir
V=hpir^2

given
V=1458 and r=9, find h

V=hpir^2
V/(pir^2)=h
1458/(pi9^2)=h
18/pi=h

sub

SA=2pir^2+2hpir
given
r=9
h=18/pi

SA=2pi9^2+2(18/pi)pi9
SA=2pi81+2(18)9
SA=162pi+324
the surface area is 321+162pi or aprox 832.937904 square inches
