Distillation is important in cleaning water because it removes inorganic compounds such as lead, nitrate and other toxic particles that aren’t safe for us to drink if we didnt distill water we would be putting many toxic metals and other compounds into our bottles that aren’t good to absorb. Distillation is done by heating up the water causing evaporation and steam
