Why do 6.52 x 10^3 and 652,000 ÷ 10^2 have the same answer?

Answer:

6.52 x 10^3 is just basically 6.52 × 1000, which is 6520. But 652,000 ÷ 10^2 is just 652000 ÷ 100, which is 6520. That's why they have the same answer.
