In 12 years, M will be thrice as old as N was 12 years ago. If M is now 8 years older than N, the present age of N is (in years)?

x+12 = 3y - 36

By the second condition,

x = x

3y-48 = y+8 ( from i and ii )

2y= 56

y = 28

then , if y = 28

soo.. x= y+8

= 28+8
