= 1.2  * 1.2 = 1.44

(b) 2^3+17-34
= (2)(2)(2) +17-34
= 8+17-34
= 25 - 34
= -9

(c) 9^2/3^3 
= (9)(9) / (3)(3)(3)
=81/27
=3
