a = b - 2

a - 3b = 22
(b - 2) - 3b = 22
b - 2 - 3b = 22
-2 - 2b = 22
-2b = 24
-b = 12
b = -12

a = b - 2
a = -12 - 2
a = -14

Solution set {-14, -12}
