Write the equation of the line that is parallel to y=-3x + 5 and goes through (-4,5)

Step-by-step explanation:

let eqn be y = mx + b

since parallel, the lines have same slope

so, m = -3x

sub (-4 , 5):

5 = -3(-4) + b

b = -7

therefore, eqn is y = -3x - 7
