The Mycenaeans, however, had a history of being aggressive, and in 1450 BC, the Mycenaeans had conquered the Minoans and taken all their land, people, riches, and palaces. The many established trade routes throughout the Mediterranean also helped the Mycenaeans gain wealth and power.
