If x=2, the equation would be 6 (2) + 3y = 15.

This simplifies to 12 +3y = 15. Subtract 12 from both sides and you get 3y = 3. Divide both sides by 3 and you get y = 1.

So if x = 2, y =1

If x = 5, the equation becomes  6 (5) + 3y = 15.

This simplifies to 30 + 3y = 15. Subtract 30 from both sides and you get 3y = -15. Divide both sides by 3 and you get y = -5.

So if x =5, y = -5.

I hope this helps!
