Could someone explain Nuclear Fission and Nuclear Fusion, and how it works?

Answer:

nuclear fusion joins atomic nuclei together, the elements formed has more neutrons and proton than that of the starting materials while nuclear fission is splitting of atoms

Thus both are nuclear process by which atoms are altered to create energy but fission is division of one atom or two and fusion is the combination of two lighter atoms
