(205 - 32) / 9 = C / 5

C = 96°C approx .

Total heat required = heat required to heat up the ice at - 20 °C  to 0°C  + heat required to melt the ice + heat required to heat up the water at  0°C to

96°C.

=  5 x 2.04 x (20-0) +  5 x 336 + 5 x ( 96-0 ) x 4.2  kJ .

= 204 + 1680 + 2016

= 3900 kJ .
