we are asked to convert the unit of yards per minute to feet per second. There are 3 yards in one foot and there are 60 seconds in one minute. In this case, the conversion is 300 yards / minute * (1 foot/ 3 yards)*(1 minute/60 seconds) equal to 5/3 or 1.6667 feet per second
