We are given with a polar equation of  r = 6 cos θ and asked to express in rectagular coordinates

r^2 = 6r cosθ

x= r cosθ

r^2 = 6x
x^2+y^2 = 6x

x^2-6x+y^2=0
x^2-6x+9 +y^2=9
(x-3)^2 + y^2=9
