Answer: explores the moral nature of human beings(being good and bad), shows the story of how the young and innocent lose their innocence as they mature, and altogether it's just a great book for high schoolers to read so that they can be ready to expect what will happen in their futures later

Explanation: The world is not perfect and this book opens people's eyes about how cruel and harsh the world is- it prepares people to expect the unexpected later on
