Zone
of proximal development which is also abbreviated as ZPD is a concept of Soviet
psychologist named Lev Vygotsky. The difference between what a person is able
to without aid and what he can do with aid is the concept of zone of proximal
development. It is one of the concepts often used in the field of teaching.
