The prehistoric group that moved from place to place in search of food were the Nomads.

The Nomads had no fixed place to settle and lived as hunter-gatherers. The amount of time they spent in a certain location depended on food supplies and weather. They developed weapons and tools to help them hunt and survive. Their groups consisted of many family members within the tribe. Most of the times, they located caves with sunlight access to temporarily reside on.
