[tex]6 - \frac{x}{2}= 10[/tex]  Subtract 6 on both sides

[tex]6-\frac{x}{2}-6=10-6[/tex]

[tex]-\frac{x}{2}= 4[/tex]

Multiply -2 on both sides to get "x" by itself

[tex]-\frac{x}{2} (-2) = 4(-2)[/tex]

x = -8

x=20

box your variable then under the 6 put +6 and cancel it out.

now what is the opposite of division? Multiplication. so times x/2 by 2 and then put (2) next to the 10. You are going to get 20 which is what x is.
