What are the things that set Homo sapiens apart from our ancestors?

I believe it was the ability to share information on who to trust- in other words, gossip. There was probably a multitude of things that set them apart, though, so Imight be incorrect.

It is ability and hindsight to construct opened ed barriers and communicate  to each other to help the work process go along
