To find the slope of a function written in point-slope form, we must first know what point slope form is. Point slope form is:


y - y₁ = m[x - x₁]


In this function, m is the slope, so the find the slope of a point-slope line function, we just have to look at the value right outside the parenthesis on the right side of the equation.
