THE SLOPE IS -2

if we have the coordinates of two points on a line, we can find the slope with this formula:
[tex]s = \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 -x1} = \frac{y1 - y2}{x1 - x2} [/tex]
so the slope is
[tex] \frac{8 - ( - 4)}{ - 1 - 5} = \frac{12}{ - 6} = - 2[/tex]
the answer is -2

good luck
