I am an experienced and qualified psychologist who can assist with a wide range of concerns. The person I am working with is someone who wants to take control of their mental health. This is more important than the diagnosis itself because it's about how we support that individual in learning new skills for life, not just treating whatever symptoms they have at any given time (or denying them). I specialized in issues related to masculinity (men and boys), anxiety-related disorders, and borderline personality disorder.
Understanding is important, but so too are skills. If there's a continuum between process and skill-based - which side do you fall on? I'm more towards the latter end of that spectrum; I believe everything comes down to having the skills to understand and solve the problems in your life.
I get up every day because I love helping people find the ability to manage their own lives. It's a big part of why people like to work with me in the first place and why I only work with a few people. There are some things that can't be taught or learned without hands-on experience so when you come to see me for your session we'll work together as equals.
