Another day of not "feeling", just “functioning”. Another day of friends calling you for happy hour, but for you, it's not happy, it's just another hour. Going through the motions at home: shower, eat, homework with the kids, some interaction with your spouse. Meanwhile, the grief from death, divorce, life transition, kids moving out, aged parents moving in, is heavy on your heart... Friends and family don't really understand what you are trying to tell them about how you feel, so you just say you're "FINE" (Freaked out, Insecure, Neurotic, and Emotional)

Finally, you've had enough of COVID and the related stressors, you secretly admired how Naomi Osaka and Simone Biles took a step back to take care of their mental health and you began realizing that you keep saying "I'm just tired/need to change my diet/change my workout". You paused and rrealized that you have a lot going on that you need to process with someone. You're here because you want to make changes and we might be a good fit. You might have concerns because of a perceived stigma of "going to counseling" or maybe you had a bad experience with a counselor. Allow me the opportunity to help you view counseling differently. Everyone has the right to move toward becoming the person God had in mind when He created us.

I've been where you are and felt just how you felt. Sometimes there are dark places you go to in your head that you don't need to be. Without practicing blame, I'll help you identify the "unfinished business" in your life, help you understand how your family, work, and social systems impact your boundaries and choices and walk with you through your grief. You don't have to handle things alone.
