I am passionate about working with men who seem to have it all together because they are generally the last ones to reach out for support and are usually the ones who need it the most.
You are typically the person everyone can count on and the one everybody looks to for advice or to have their needs met.
Unfortunately, when you finally decide to reach out for help, you may hear “everything will be ok,” “you’re strong,” “you’ve got it,” etc. and end up deciding “forget it, I’ll figure it out myself.”
All the while, you are stewing in anxious thoughts, second guessing every move, and slipping into depression trying to stay strong for the sake of those who depend on you the most.
My goal is to help you have an outlet and a safe space where you are not required to “have it all together”.
You and I will develop strategies for you to manage your stress, balance your demands and to help you focus on having a life worth living and enjoying.
My counseling style is interactive, collaborative, and compassionate. We will talk about your thoughts, feelings, and situations. I may occasionally give “homework” assignments that are relevant to your needs. There will also be tears and laughter, but most of all, there will be healing and skill-building.
