Monté Hendrix is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Maryland who provides individual therapy. He received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore following bachelor studies in Psychology at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
Monté brings his unique experience as a Veteran to his specialization in providing psychotherapy services to adults in active addiction or recovery from Substance Use Disorders following his clinical work in both inpatient (residential) and intensive outpatient program settings. Prior to his substance use and psychotherapy work, his time in the U.S. Air Force allowed the ease of transferable crisis intervention skills and comfort with topics that affect the individual and their family units – including, but not limited to, domestic violence, interpersonal conflict, and microaggressions experienced by members of marginalized populations.
Monté also has experience working with individuals struggling with symptoms of anxiety, bipolar, and depression. He wishes to foster an environment that would allow every client to openly and comfortably express and explore themselves without any judgement.
Sessions with Monté can include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and more as deemed clinically appropriate.
