My name is Malton Cook, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas. I have worked in the mental health field since 2011 post completion of my Bachelors of Art in Psychology at University of Texas at Dallas and later went on to complete my Masters of Art in Professional Counseling at Amberton University. During my time in mental health I have worked in several settings which include but not limited to inpatient mental health treatment, outpatient mental health treatment, residential dual diagnosis treatment, and most recently integrated behavioral health.

My experience included working with individuals across the life span from age 18 to 85. My ideal populations are adjustment issues/ life transition issues, depression, anxiety, anger management, mood disorders, millennials, individuals of color, and LGBTQIA+. I understanding seeking counseling is major step, which at times can provoke a number of uncomfortable emotions however we are here to walk along the path with you in an effort to rearrange the pieces of your life puzzle once piece at a time. My therapeutic approach includes person centered and solution focused. Clients are experts of their life. My goal is to help direct clients into personal satisfaction through change.
