I help Black rookie professional athletes overcome self-doubt and calm performance-related anxiety.

As a marathoner and a former athlete, I have learned that there is a different mindset to competition that can sometimes lead to overthinking, pushing yourself too hard and not fully understanding your limits while feeling limitless. Working with someone to help with performance anxiety, feeling like you want to fit in on your team or simply feeling misunderstood in the sport you dominate can help you feel better and more confident on the court/field. Giving your brain a break from perfectionism to show up as yourself and find a way to use your own voice to define your competitive style and self without feeling controlled by the places you want to change.

I use a CRT, feminist, psychodynamic, mindfulness perspective along with problem solving and real life recommendations to help with improving communication to get a better understanding of your needs and how to share them with your teammates, partners, coaches, friends and family members to support you along your journey. Sometimes, we forget to lean on those closest to us or over use them in ways that we want to change and form new boundaries in transition to higher levels of sports or to non-competitive working world in a different way.
