  • It is my professional and personal belief that “life happens” which causes dis-ease in the mind. This impacts our feelings, thoughts and ideas about self and our relationships with others. I provide therapy for every day people working to become their best self. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. I’ve treated clients coping with grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, domestic violence, high risk sexual behaviors, LGBTQ issues and substance abuse. Also, clients navigating sexual abuse, sexual identity and end of life transition.

Therapy is a personal process so I offer free telephone consultation. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my practice is influenced by Cornel West’s use of the term Paideia.

“Paideia concerns the cultivation of self, the ways you engage your own history, your own memories, your own mortality, your own sense of what it means to be alive as a critical, loving, aware human being.”
