It brings me joy to join Therapy for Black Men to better advocate for mental health among marginalized groups, especially Black males. As a therapist who is also an advocate for inclusion, I am culturally competent and affirming. I work with all populations, especially those considered underrepresented which include but extend far beyond race, class, gender, and sex.
You may have some idea of the obstacles keeping you from fulfilling a healthy life. For most, both internal and external factors play a part in our mental health. My goal is to create a trusting relationship that allows us to understand the whole being and all aspects of life, including personal, social, familial, environmental, and institutional.
As a therapist, I am equipped to assist with mental health maintenance, helping you gain insight into past situations that are affecting your life now, and facilitating better navigation of recent life changes. I am here to help, so feel free to reach out to me. For a quicker response, email is the preferred method of contact, [email protected]. I hope to hear from you soon.
