Trauma can come from anywhere. Trauma that is not dealt with appropriately can have devastating consequences. At the core of healing, is a good support system and healthy relationships. Solid relationships are a key component in one’s search for healing and growth. As human beings, we are not meant to grow in isolation, which is why building relationships with clients is fundamental to a counseling relationship. Having a safe space to be heard and regarded, without fear of judgment can be the beginning of the healing process.

Dennis Phillips is passionate about mental health and healthy living. He received his Master’s degree from the University of North Texas in 2011. He is an LPC-Associate with over 10 years of counseling experience. Dennis provides counseling to a wide variety of clients, while specifically focusing on adolescents and African American men. His approach to counseling is simple: to create a safe environment and continually build relationships, to cultivate healing and growth.
Dennis is originally from Los Angeles, CA, growing up in the Inglewood area. He has lived in Texas since 2007.
