My ideal client is seeking assistance in working to maximizing areas of their lives. I take the time out to listen to client concerns and we take a team approach towards establishing a plan towards resolution. I am a huge support of utilizing specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-oriented goals towards developing plans to foster growth in my client. My client’s have been able to complete their treatment goals and reported more joy and satisfaction in their lives. Additionally, I like to work with trauma and patients that have past traumas. In this climate with increased depictions of violence we need to talk about in a safe space. Overtime, we tend to normalize the things being BIPOC but this can have adverse consequences on our health. I utilize trauma based modalities to work towards enabling my clients to process and work on healing. Currently, I am in the process of becoming a certified trauma therapist. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and eye-movement densentilization and reprocessing (EMDR) for clients at this time.
